Assistant Vice President, Public Relations

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly organized, adaptable, proactive public relations pro to help co-lead FiComm’s Integrated book of business, with an emphasis on supporting the EVP of Communications. The AVP, alongside the EVP, will be tasked with oversight of PR team activity and deliverables, including directly influencing the strategy and overall direction of accounts, proactively identifying media opportunities, managing progress towards deliverables and opportunities outlined in each client’s communications plan, and identifying client issues or potential areas of client dissatisfaction and escalating it with senior management, as appropriate. The AVP will also partner closely with the FiComm Marketing team on integrated accounts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, skilled at public relations strategy and execution, and have experience working across integrated teams and accounts.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

  • Work with EVPs of Communications, Marketing and Advisor Education to develop, deliver and execute effective communications strategies and plans to meet client objectives
  • Collaborate with team members and supporting resources, including copywriters and designers, to successfully execute integrated communications plans-including press releases, contributed content, pitches, call agendas, quarterly coverage reports, media bios, media briefing documents, and award and speaker submissions, among other deliverables
  • Work with the team to secure, coordinate and manage media interviews; provide media training, as well as deliver interview feedback to clients; and manage any follow-up requests from reporters or clients
  • Provide counsel on ways clients can amplify media coverage and content on social media
  • !Follow public relations and financial services industry trends and best practices affecting the agency and clients
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and can communicate within a cross­ functional team
  • Proven ability to build and maintain business relationships with clients and members of the media, demonstrated through strong industry media relationships
  • Must be a highly organized, self-starter and have the aptitude for tracking multiple deliverables against tight timelines
  • Think strategically to support the team with initiative ideation pertaining to specific clients and projects
  • Prepare and review quarterly reports and share with account managers for review

  • Excellent writing skills across multiple types of content, with an understanding of the need for nuanced messaging for a wide range of audiences, including but not limited to advisors, investors, and enterprise clients

  • Can facilitate weekly, monthly, or quarterly check-in-calls with clients
  • Financial services industry experience is strongly preferred, as well as a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Conversion Copywriter

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly organized, adaptable, proactive copywriter to support FiComm’s scalable product offerings across our integrated Marketing + PR services and client experience process. This copywriter will be responsible for producing creative written content to drive lead generation with a target market of advisory firms and financial advisors.

Your work will span across our website through our buyer’s journey, as well as our client experience email campaigns, and proposal / PowerPoint presentations. This individual should also have a deep understanding of how SEO impacts organic traffic and have the capability to turn complicated financial industry language and distill it into an easy-to-understand conversational tone. Success in this role will be based on the opportunity to convert leads into taking action through targeted, compelling messaging that is in line with our New Skoal brand and voice, in as few words as possible.

Vice President, Marketing

POSITION OVERVIEW

The VP, of Marketing is responsible for the day-to-day management of deliverables for a cross-section of FiComm’s retained marketing clients and project-based marketing clients, supported by members of the marketing team, as well as freelancers. The VP will build and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, and directly manage the production schedule of projects, marketing plans, and deliverables, working closely with the FiComm PR and creative teams as necessary.

The VP of Marketing will ensure project management and logistical objectives are met for all retained and project-based business. This includes contributing information and recommendations to project plans and reviews, ensuring deadlines are met, implementing production, gauging productivity, resolving problems, identifying trends, determining system improvements, and implementing

change. The VP will aid in designing and implementing strategic marketing plans and be responsible for assigning tasks and deliverables to marketing team members. In addition, this role may manage members of the marketing team.

  • Serves as the primary contact for each client throughout the discovery, planning, and production process of every project
